Distemper is a highly infectious viral disease that affects dogs, causing severe disease and high mortality, particularly in unvaccinated populations. Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) is a DNA virus which attacks multiple body systems. Neurological signs, along with respiratory distress, ocular discharge and a severe fever are common.
