Introduction

Radiography is one of the most commonly used imaging techniques in veterinary practice today. It provides a large amount of diagnostic information through non-invasive means, which is often vital to determining the clinician's clinical decision making and providing effective treatment. This module serves as an introduction to the fundamental concepts involved in producing a radiograph and aims to teach clinicians to understand the basic principles involved in radiography. This includes setting the X-ray machine to generate an image, as well as the concepts of animal positioning, operator safety, and interpreting a radiograph to determine its diagnostic capacity.
