Rabies is a deadly disease transmitted by animals to humans. Despite it's ancient origins, an estimated 59,000 people die every year from rabies transmitted by dogs, with millions more being exposed to the rabies virus through a bite from a rabid dog. Mission Rabies is an international charity applying the theory of rabies control into practice and working with governments and local non-governmental organisations to develop more efficient, effective and scalable approaches to dog vaccination, education and rabies surveillance. In this course we will share the methods and protocols earned by their experience to support others in implementing their own success. Together we can make ours the final rabies generation.
