Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic imaging allows non-invasive visualisation of internal structures, and it’s becoming more readily available in veterinary practices throughout the world. This course aims to give veterinary professionals and students a comprehensive guide to understanding and using the most commonly available diagnostic imaging modalities of radiography and ultrasonography. Diagnostic imaging plays a crucial role in veterinary care, allowing for non-invasive visualisation of internal structures and organs, and thus the diagnosis of a wide variety of conditions, which in turn guides treatment options. We will cover the basics of performing radiography and ultrasonography, common indications for their use, as well as the limitations of each, and how to interpret their images for diagnosis.
